PAL-8 lamp
Construction
The lamp's name originated from my realization that the design shared some similarities with a traditional water mill. An iconic feature I would highlight from the design is the small number of pieces that is required to assemble the final product. It consists of eight paddles or palettes, two round bases, and two frosted-glass screen pieces. The name "PAL-8 Lamp" refers to the eight pallets required to assemble the product, which can also be easily disassembled and flat-packaged.
Details
The entire product only has four metallic pieces, which attach the shades, and with the help of the eight wood pallets, the lamp becomes steady and can be fixated anywhere the user wants. The final design object is compatible with IKEA's "HEMMA CORD" light bulb. For future ideations, material variations can be taken into consideration, as well as production price and final pricing of the product. (copper instead of wood, etc.)
Software
Fusion 360, Keyshot, Procreate, Adobe Photoshop
The PAL-8 lamp is designed for everyone. Its modern and minimalist design can transform any space into something beautiful and different. It has the capability of being used as a task lighting or an ambient one, depending on where the user wants to place it. This lamp is easy to assemble and transport anywhere because of its flat packaging properties and amazing and inexpensive materials.
