Design process

For this project, the brand named me head designer and gave me the creative freedom to explore and develop a collection of my own. The brand owners were fascinated with my minimalistic and cartoonish style, so I applied all my knowledge and creative skills to this collection.
I took inspiration from Mexican icons like a Calavera, a cactus, or a lotería card, which are heavy, culturally loaded icons in the Mexican culture, and modernized them so that they could fit with the brand's personality.

Production

This collection has been the best sold by "Uncanny" so far. The minimalism, combined with pop culture and summer vibes, creates a collection of designs no one has seen before. In addition, the way I created the designs makes them versatile and capable of not just being embroidered into caps and beanies but also into T-shirts, joggers, and hoodies. I have been working with this brand for some years, and this has been the most relevant collaboration we have created so far.

"Uncanny" is a Mexican clothing brand that brings the best quality products to the consumer market with new and pop-culture-inspired designs. This brand represents the freshness of the summer and the freedom of being with friends and on vacations. All of these characteristics are represented by their emblematic flamingo logo, which has been re-designed to be one of the most relevant summer icons.
